Policy Perspectives Foundation (PPF), is a Delhi based non-profit and non-political organization committed to promote, support and stimulate objective and well-researched debates on matters of national interest.

It passionately believes in generating sensitivity and awareness in civil society, media, academic groups, think-tanks, decision-makers, legislators etc., on current and potential problems affecting vital national interests. The Foundation seeks to achieve this by undertaking studies and analyses of various issues and by organizing or participating in conferences, seminars and even informal debates on various perspectives on topical problems.

Our Team

We are a close knit group of people drawn from various walks of life committed to work for the objectives of the Foundation. Names of those who form our core team today are given below in alphabetical order of their first names.

Anil P Bhatnagar

A former IPS officer who has worked both in India and abroad. He has worked in the fields of Human Rights enforcement and Prison reforms. He was Advisor to Justice J.S.Verma Commission.

Dhirendra Singh

A former Home Secretary of the Government of India, he has held a number of important assignments both in the state and in Government of India.He has deep interest in Public Policy and Administration, Economic & Development Administration.

K M Singh

A former IPS officer and an alumni of National Defence College, New Delhi, he has been a Member (two terms) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and a former Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He has deep interest in promoting disaster resilience through capacity building.

N C Vij

A former Chief of Army Staff of Indian Army and a founding Vice Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority, General(retd) Vij is currently Director, Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi.

Partha N Mukherjee

He is an academic from the field of sociology. He held senior positions in the Jawaharlal Nehru University and Tata Institute of Social Science.

Pradyot C Haldar

A former IPS Officer, he has deep interest in all aspects of national security with a focus on internal security. A former member of the National Security Advisory Board, he has also been a member of the Task Force on National Security set up by the Government of India.

Rajendra Prasad Singh

A highly respected technocrat in the Power sector, he was CMD of Power Grid Corporation for 12 years. He is now an independent consultant and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology (Guwahati).

Pramod Kumar

He is heading the institute of Development and Communication, Chandigarh. The organisation focuses on awareness generation through research on issues such as social conflicts and peace, women's development and gender sensitization etc.

Rajiv Dogra

A former IFS officer, Ambassador(retd), Dogra is specially interested in Central Asia and our neighbourhood including Pakistan. He has been writing on foreign policy and strategic affairs and published a book ‘Where Borders Bleed’.

Rakesh Jaruhar

A former IPS officer, he retired as Special Director General of CRPF in-charge of anti-Maoist operations. He has interest in and works in the area of improving methodology and orientation of training of Police personnel of all ranks.

S R Deshpande

Air Marshal (retd) Deshpande is a strategist and specialises in the study strategic use of air power and writes on Defence related issues.

Sankar Sen

A former Director of the National Police Academy, Shri Sen is deeply concerned about Human Rights and is actively engaged in bringing about awareness in the police and the public. He has written over a dozen books regarding Police, Policing, Criminology and Human Rights.

Sankarshan Basu

Professor Basu teaches at IIM – Bangalore. His specialisation is Finance and Applications of Quantitative Techniques to Finance, Risk Management, Biostatistics and Corporate Finance.

Yashwant Prasad

A former Vice Chief of the Indian Navy, Admiral (retd)Prasad has commanded frontline ships including aircraft carrier INS Virat.
